Senior Database Engineer


We're looking for a brilliant big-data engineer who can help guide FCP through some really, really big problems in creative ways using technology like no one has ever used it before.

We are a driven automotive eCommerce player that is making big moves in the industry. We have been experiencing consistent and steady year-over-year growth and moved to in-house data and tech-stack development in 2011 as a means to have an edge on our competition. FCP is currently heavily invested in large data sets and is looking for a team member with extensive experience modifying, querying, and developing MySQL databases and other large data formats.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collect and process large data, write scripts, crawl websites, calling APIs, writing SQL queries, etc.
  • Work with our development team to integrate new solutions into our other systems
  • Process unstructured data into a form with which you can perform analyses on
  • Create ad hoc data sets, custom queries & reports for team members
  • Lead the internal development of C# and Microsoft Dynamics A/X modifications
  • Design systems with scalability in mind
  • Ensures compliance with all necessary security standards based on vendor and procedural involvement
  • Maintain the availability, continuity and security of data and information pertaining to the organization


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a full range of database administration or software development duties.
  • Must have advanced SQL knowledge and experience
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft A/X documentation, APIs & development languages
  • Data mining and web crawling experience
  • Experience with EDI
  • Experience with Windows Server Edition and highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Linux
  • Ability to come up with cost effective solutions
